Takeshita Dori Market Street refers to an area around tokyo’s Harajuku station which is just between Shinjuku and Shibuya on the Yamanote line. It is the centre of Japan’s most extreme teenage culture and a place which portrays fashion street along with street fashion which has become a popular fad these days. The markets are a great place for many photographers who continue their photography and keep their sense of photography alive through the various photography done at these places.

Now, taking other theoretical concept of market being a place full of buzz one could understand that the focal point of Harajuku’s teenage culture is Takeshita Dori and along the side streets which gets lined by many trendy shops along with fashion boutiques many used clothes stores with crepe stands and the fast food outlets which gets geared through various fashion trends along with fashion conscious teens. The South of Takeshita Dori is a pedestrian shopping street which are known as “Antenna shops” and the manufacturers seed it for test marketing. Students across the country come for School trips and it can be said a great place for those pretty bargains with small “cute” goods at weekends.

The Takeshita Street was an earlier fake or replica goods from the Japanese and American street brand goods from early 1990’s to 2004. A stronger metropolitan Government has put a crackdown on such goods so now the person will get the original ones. If one talks about the food then Calbee chips along with candy floss and crepes gives the pedestrian shoppers that romance of the youth coming alive and with the sensory overload of those bubbles coming out through the heart and running into veins again. With those old dingy makeshift studios which are called Purikura photo booth and the goofy pictures which could be on an old antique bike along with various others ways to get photographed fulfilling the fantasies of your lifetime.

If one talks about the famous streets around the Takeshita street then Takeshita Dori along with Omotesando with some great places which are known as famous streets around Takeshita Dori along with Omotesando and the shopping stretch such as Omotesando hills along with Laforet Harajuku and Daiso Harajuku. The Oriental band and Kiddy land are another great places to enjoy the shopping with Louis Vuitton being the prominent store which has opened in Autumn 2002.
