Day One of Tour Travel Starts With Delhi

Posted : July - 14 - 2019

After 9 years of working as a lecturer without any break, I have decided to go on a holiday. I was always inclined to visit India to explore spirituality and yoga. I had to prepare for visit and a lot of things needed to be worked out. Booking Train tickets, booking hotels, sites to visit, daily budget, monument fee etc are all aspects that need to be worked well in advance.

I have strong influence of hippy culture on me as both my parents were hippies and for this reason India always intrigued me. Exploring spirituality is the thing that inspired me to visit India this time.

Talking about preparing for the journey and booking tickets etc, it didn't take me long enough to decide about the tickets and process. I hired an Indian travel agent who helped me book my flight and train tickets for my whole journey of exploring INDIA. Looking around for accommodation in Delhi, I short listed a few places in various areas. I had to choose the best hotel in Delhi which would cater to my budget and needs. I landed on few options and the one that interested me the most was a place called Smyle Inn. Free breakfast and WiFi in rooms for the cost seemed like a good value for money. and booked one of their Superior rooms along with the airport pickup. To my surprise the booking and pickup was confirmed within a span of 4 hours.

Flight landed after a delay of 2 hours, the driver was waiting with a smile and took me to the hotel without any trouble. About the area, it was really congested with small lanes. Paharganj post mid night looked like a deserted place and I was getting a little wary of this area. The hotel was in a small alley which again made me jittery. Thinking about entering the alley, I said to my self, what the heck, let's do it and to my surprise it was not a bad place as I had feared. I checkin the hotel and went straight to my room where I crashed on my bed.

Next morning I went for the breakfast and then ventured into the city. I was shocked to see the area which was deserted at night, bursting with activity. So many people on the Paharganj main bazaar along with cows, tuk tuk, cycle rickshaw, hawkers etc...all running about doing their job, without worrying about anybody else. I walked about the area and headed straight for the RK Ashram Marg metro station. Smyle Inn is a hotel near metro station which helps in easily travelling and exploring Delhi. Occasionally I would bump into a few Europeans walking about in the main bazaar, exploring, shopping etc. After the initial exploration of Paharganj area, I realised that this place has many Cheap Hotels offering budget accommodation in Delhi tour Tourism to the travellers.

With the remaining time left for the day, I went to visit Red Fort, India Gate and Jama Masjid mosque. Next day, I took a HOHO Bus in Delhi for a Delhi Darshan tour. You can access HOHO bus site from here HOHO Bus. I went to many sights and monuments most noticable were Lotus Temple and Akshardham Temple. Chandni Chalk or whatever it is called and Iskon temple of the Hare Rama Hare Krishna sect was also visited by me.

After spending 3 days in Delhi, I decided to move to Rishikesh. This is the place where my parents first arrived to explore their spirituality. Like them I will be spending some time in some Asharam here learning, meditation, Yoga etc giving time to myself and my mind. Spending quite time in Rishikesh has a healing impact on soul, body and mind is what people say back home. When ever I get time, I will write about my experience in Rishikesh. Till then have fun.

Goa Holiday Tourism is well plan to visit Goa the most famous place which includes Goa UNESCO world heritage sites which are old Goa historical churches which was built by Portuguese rulers during 16th century. Goa tourist destination is also world wide famous for its natural beaches.
